How do we pick our projects

Kia Designs has been around for 4 years, and in that time we have had projects that have gone amazingly and projects that have not.  However, throughout the ups and the downs, we have always made sure of one thing: we analyse.

We analyse why a project went wrong or whether we should work with a particular supplier again, but most of all, we analyse whether the client was right for us. We pick our projects not based on the area, budgets, or the size of the properties, but on the people that we are going to be working with. A huge budget is fantastic, but if the client doesn’t “get” you, then you are going to be arguing over every purchase! For us, we like decisive clients.  This doesn’t necessarily mean that they know exactly what they want all the time, but what it does mean is that they have been decisive enough to know that they can’t “do it themselves,” and have made the decision to let someone else create a fantastically beautiful home that makes them feel all is right in the world when they walk in; to let them actually do it and to trust them to do it right.

This is what we look for most in a client.  If you have this trust and appreciation for us and the service we are very glad to provide you with, then a piece of furniture turning up a week late or a rug being delayed because of rain (trust me, this has happened) doesn’t seem like a nightmare.  It is an inconvenience, yes, but not something to keep you up at night – because you know, as a client, that you made the best decision. You were decisive in who you picked to design your home and you know that they are doing everything in their power to make sure it goes as smoothly as possible for you. Decisive clients, we love you!
